Horse
Riding
Irene, Hillary and Thais 3rd B
When it was created?
The first riding school was founded by the Count of Fiaschi in the year 1539 in the Italian city of Ferrara. Since the ancient Olympic Games it was practiced only as a competition. But in 1883, in the United States, rules for competitions were already applied.
How to play this sport
Different modalities are practiced in horse riding such as dressage and jumping...To maintain a good position in the seat, the body should be relaxed in the saddle, but at the same time straight and stretched. The knee and ankle joints should be relaxed too, and place only the tip of the foot inside the stirrup, with the heel down. Whith your legs you need to put pressure on the horse, not only to keep you attached to the saddle, also to go into a canter or trot. The reins will serve us to direct the horse. To hold the reins with both hands and thumbs up, elbows should be bent and close to the body. The ways of riding have not changed so far.
Where is it played?
The riding arena or track is the place where the horse and the rider train. It may or may not be covered. It can have four walls, fences, or barriers, has a soft floor made of sand, and is rectangular most of the time. And it's marked with letters.
