Son frases enunciativas:
- Se puede contar en presente lo que alguien acaba de decir, suprimiendo las comillas y cambiando el pronombre sujeto y la persona del verbo."I'm a very responsible person" (Direct Speech) He says that he is a very responsible person (Reported S.) - Si se enuncia una verdad general, los verbos no cambian: "We all learn from mistakes" (Direct Speech) Our teacher said that we all learn from mistakes (Rep. Sp.)
- Yes/No questions: "Are you going to the beach tomorrow?" (Direct Speech) My mother asked me if/whether I was going to the beach the following day. (Reported S.) - Wh- questions: "Who were you talking to yesterday?"(Direct Sp.) My mother asked me who I had been talking to the day before. (Reported S.)

- Órdenes: "Please, be quiet now!" (Direct Speech) The teacher asked us to be quiet then. (Reported S.) - Peticiones y Avisos: "Please, don't send homework today, teacher!"(Direct Sp.) The students begged the teacher not to send homework that day. (Reported S.)
- Otros verbos:demand shout warn
- Las sugerencias se pueden pasar de 2 formas: "You should study harder for this test" (Direct Speech) My teacher suggested that I study harder for that test. My teacher suggested studying harder for that test. - También se puede usar advise para consejos e invite para invitaciones. Seguidos de complemeto indirecto + to infinitve. "You should come to see the parade" They invited us to see the parade.
