Learning METHODS
JOANA VERA ROJAS
Auditory learning
- The student learns through auditory stimuli.
- The sense of hearing is strengthened through specific stimuli that increase students' concentration and attention.
- The auditory learning style allows the retention of information through an auditory format and oral language.
- • The manner of oral expression affects the way in which information is understood.
- Intonation, rhythm, accents, among others, are key in determining learning.
- • Encourage learning environments that are shaped by active participation activities, such as debates.
Visual Learning
- The student learns best through visual stimuli.
- People who favor this type of learning tend to think in images and have a great capacity for absorption.
- Schemes, diagrams, graphs, videos and, in general, all visual information that is accompanied by information and explanation are useful.
- Examples of visual learning are effective ways to enhance knowledge that have this ability: concept maps, Timelines and visual flashbacks.
Kinesthetic learning
- Kinesthetic learning is a teaching method focused on the child's own body experiences, sensations and movements.
- The child's body remembers the actions it learns in order to act accordingly to the different challenges it faces.
- It is born from the sensations and experiences that the human being obtains in the process of assimilation and knowledge of the contents.
- It is experiential learning, so it is based on trial and error in search of answers (reaching different conclusions).
- • It provides greater physical activity, so it is suitable for those students who have a greater need to move.
