Social media is a great playground where you can have fun. You can choose your favorite brands, as well as public figures or influencers to watch, or watch a movie.

Social networks have undergone several transformations since their popularization, which occurred in the first decade of the 21st century. Before, they were mainly used to share photos and videos with family and friends, but today, they are multipurpose platforms that allow, in addition to social interaction, the purchase and sale of products and service

There is no distance for social networks. Thanks to social media it is possible to know what is happening in the world at that exact moment. Whether through smartphone, tablet or computer, we can instantly keep in touch with people from anywhere in the world.

Fake news can spread through circular reports, where one source publishes incorrect information that is picked up by another media outlet, which cites the original source as evidence that the information is "true".

Social networks can indeed generate a series of triggers that foment clinical conditions of anxiety, depression, self-image disorders, among other problems.

There are people who spend many hours of the day and night connected to social networks, either to share content or to consume it. This exaggeration can impact your productivity at work and disrupt social and family relationships. It is imperative that you use networks in moderation, otherwise they can become an addiction, and like any addiction, bring harm to your life.

From my perspective social media has disadvantages as well as advantages.
