Context

First Grade Secondary School, with a Manager who is strongly focused on inclusion.

SCHOOL:

AREA:

Residential area in the suburban north-west side of Pesaro, Marche

CULTURAL BACKGROUND:

The majority of them are into sports, fashion and social media. Reading books or search for information on cultural topics is not in the list of their habits, except for a few students. Only if asked, they join in discussions and projects.

22 students

mostly A2, mixed abilities

TIME OF THE YEAR:

Mid of second term

TIMING:

2 hours (1+1)

STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES:

1 student with hearing loss, with a Individualized Education Plan

SLD AND SEN:

1 student with SLD (Dislexia) with a Personalized Educational Plan, 3 students with SEN (due to socio economic disadvantage).

GENERAL BEHAVIOR:

Good potential, but they affirm they are at school only because they have to. Get bored soon. 5 motivated students. Tend to form fixed groups.

DIGITAL COMPETENCE:

Highly specialized in using their mobiles for texting and browsing social media, good at using IWB.
