What is a math Tool Kit?
During this topic we are going to create our Math Tool Kit and fill with items that we will use during the school year to become Mathmaticians.
Math Tool Kit
Container to hold items- Can be a shoe box, plastic container.Counters- small objects that can be easily counted and used on a ten frame.Number Chart Flashcards Ten frame in page protectors. Shapes Scissors Pencils Crayons Notebook for worksheets Whiteboard and dry erase marker or Whitepaper in page protector
Lesson 1
For this lesson you are going to complete an all about me page and find a container that can be used for your Math Tool Kit. You can decorate your tool kit any way you please. The container to hold items can be a shoe box, plastic container, or large ziplock bag. Be as creative as you choose.
Lesson 2
Cut out the flashcards linked on this page. These flashcards will be used to practice and play games with. Can you look through them and stack up the number flashcards, the finger flashcards, the domino flashcards, number words and the tenframe flash cards.
The last part of the Math Tool Kit will be to place the number chart and the weather chart in clear page protectors. Both of these sheets will be used on a regular basis in the class. The weather graph will be used in every lesson to graph the current weather. The second printable is the calendar page. This will need to be placed in page protectors to write the monthly calendar on or can be printed monthly. This would also be a good time to make sure you have a whiteboard and dry-erase markers or white paper inside of a page protector for extra practice.

The last part of the Math Tool Kit will be to place the number chart and the weather chart in clear page protectors. Both of these sheets will be used on a regular basis in the class. The number chart will be used to find under and used to practice counting. The other activity that will need to be completed for this lesson is locating a Notebook to place all printables in.
Lesson 5
Science will be lesson 5 of each topic. Scientist ask questions, observe what they see and find solutions for problems. For this lesson can you observe what you see outside.
