Summary of my Article

The Dark Web is a part of the internet that search engines are not able to detect . The dark web can only be accessed through specialized software such as Tor. It is often associated with illegal activities, such as drug trafficking and illegal pornography. It has become a popular venue for hackers and cybercriminals to sell stolen data and other illicit goods and services. The dark web also contains anonymous marketplaces where individuals can buy and sell goods and services using cryptocurrency. In addition, it contains forums and message boards where individuals can communicate anonymously. Dark web anonymity makes it difficult for law enforcement to track down criminals and shut down illegal activities. However, it is important to note that not all dark web activities are illegal. Many individuals use it for legitimate purposes, such as communicating securely and accessing information in countries with strict internet censorship.

How does this article compare to similair articles on the same topic

The Wikipedia article on the dark web does an excellent job of highlighting the addition of web-based onion services in February 2016 and accurately defining what the dark web is. The article provides clear and concise information on the unique features of the dark web and the types of activities that take place there. However, unlike earlier versions, the article lacks in-depth background and history of the evolution of the dark web and does not include pictures to help readers visualize its concepts and ideas.

In Comparison to other Assignments

• Unlike many of my other assignments ,the Wikipedia assignment required me to conduct research and write in a neutral perspective ,which was fairly new to me.I was also tasked with focusing on reliable sources and avoiding original research. typeI think i also unlocked critical thinking skills i didnt know I had.It sharpened my research skills, and attention to detail, and it also taught me how to collaborate with other contributors to ensure that the content is accurate, comprehensive, and meets Wikipedia's standards.This was also new to me because usually i depend on Wikipedia to aid me in my assignments ,now im actually the one making sure the article is accurate.

• Overall, a Wikipedia assignment can provided me with a unique and valuable experience that may differ from traditional assignments, particularly in terms of collaborative skills and writing for a public

In Conclusion

Even though I already knew a somewhat decent amount on this topic,due to research and my own personal curiosities ,working on the article and making edits.It even sharpened my reading and critical thinking skills and taught me how to conduct data in a neutral tone.I would say this article somewhat affected my digital citizenship in a way,because i realized the importancxe of how to use technology in ways that are safe, respectful, and responsible, and being aware of the potential risks and consequences of one's actions online .
