Andragogy vs pedagogy

Both terms refer to the different approaches to instruction, however, they are separated absed on age. Pedagogy is the term used to descridbe teaching childern. I includes lesson approached that teachers make to support the need to learn new concepts. These may incluse materials, structure and desired ourcomes. On the other hand andragogy is the practice of and methods used to teach adult learners. This includes lessons that support more self directed learning, problem solving activites and application to real life experiences. Andragogy is valuable to supporting the learning of adults and their unique learning styles, including their vast array of experience and abilities.
