Piedmont is an Italian region located in north-western Italy, has no access to the sea and is bordered to the north by Switzerland, to the north-west by Valle d'Aosta, to the east by Lombardy, to the west by France, to the south with Liguria and to the southeast with Emilia Romagna. It is known for its refined cuisine and wines, such as Barolo. The capital is Turin, which offers numerous examples of Baroque architecture. We have other cities such as: Alessandria, Asti, Vercelli, Cuneo, Novara, Biella. The main rivers are: the Po, the Tanaro, the Sesia, the Ticino .. Piedmont boasts 5 sites inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List;

- The prehistoric pile-dwelling sites of the Alps in Viverone and Azeglio, on the outskirts of Turin.
- The 7 Sacred Mountains of Piedmont (Belmonte, Crea, Domodossola, Ghiffa, Oropa, Orta and Varallo).
- The vineyard landscapes of Monferrato.
- In 2018 the UNESCO recognition awarded Ivrea Industrial city, born from the social and cultural project of Adriano Olivetti.
