Utilizamos el condicional zero para hablar de situaciones que son generalmente o siempre ciertas (cosas que pueden ser demostradas).

Podemos utilitzar modales en vez de will en el primer condicional:

• If you ask George, may/might be able to help you.

• You can leave the room if youfinish the test.

• If he doesn't come soon, we must/will have to leave without him.

• If you ever go to Chicago, you should take a boat trip on the river.

• If you don't watch your steps, you are going to fall over.

En algunos casos es posible utilizar present simple en la clausula del futuro (sin hacer referencia al conidicional zero): Cuando damos una orden y hacemos uso del IMPERATIVO Seguido de when, as soon as, until, before y after para hablar del futuro.
