SOLAR SYSTEM

OBJECTIVE: To know and analyze the different solar system models throughout history.

What do planets have in common with gods?

Choose four Roman gods and their respective planets, insert images of both the planet and the god. (except Saturn)

The sun rises every day?

Since ancient times, humans have been curious about the "movement" of the sun and the observation of the planets.

Write a short explanation about that; insert images and change the format.

geocentric model

geocentric model

Believed that the Earth was at the center of the universe and that all other celestial bodies, including the sun and planets, orbited around it. Developed by ancient Greek philosophers such as Aristotle and Ptolemy.

In your google presentation, design a geocentric model, you can review images to base it on. Insert images of Aristotle and Ptolemy

heliocentric model

heliocentric model

• Developed by Nicolaus Copernicus in the 16th century. • Proposed that the sun was at the center of the solar system and that the planets, including Earth, orbited around it.

In your google presentation, design a heliocentric model, you can review images to base it on. Insert images of Copernicus and Galileo

Kepler's laws of planetary motion

Kepler's laws of planetary motion

• Developed by Johannes Kepler in the early 17th century. • Three laws that describe the motion of planets around the sun. • Kepler's laws helped to confirm the heliocentric model and laid the foundation for modern astronomy.

In your google presentation, design a Kepler's model, you can review images to base it on. Insert images of Kepler.

Thanks a lot!
