Adenosine
Brain and neurons
Digestion and Absorption
After caffeine is ingested it travels through you digestive system and is absobed into you bloodstream by the Veli that line the small intestine , the network of cappilaries allow for direct transfer of nutrients into the bloodstream. Caffeine mainly effects the brain / nervous system
Adenosine It regulates the production and release of neurotransmitters eg. dopamine. It also promotes sleep. Caffeine binds to the same receptors on neurons that adenosine uses, this reduces the impact of the adenosine and results in feeling energized and less tired.
As caffeine is in the bloodstram it eventually leads to you brain. Caffeine effects the neurons which are maily located in the outer layer of the brain (cerebral cortex) that is mainly in charge of functions.Caffeine affects the neurons by blocking a brain chemical called adenosine.
Here is how caaffeine works
The positives of caffeine

addiction/dependacy
high blood pressure
Icaffeine can lead to lack of sleep as you are too alert to sleep
as it can improve alertness this can be too much for some people

insomnia
anxiety
some times caffeine can have an opposite affect or stop working if used to much
Coffe can have a laxitive effec, caffeine also stimulates bowel movements by increasing peristalsis

fatigue
indigestion
My opinion
i would say the a moderate regulated amount of caffeine is benificial and can help concentrate and feel awake. Seeing as i am still young i would not drink caffeine every day as i still feel energized without it but other people may feel the need for caffeine as maybe they struggle to feel awake on a daily baisis. As long as it is moderatly used and not abused i would say it is benificial.
