Creating a Multiple Choice Question

• Multiple choice questions allow you to have between 2-5 options for answer choices. This question type automatically grades student answers and defaults to only having one correct answer. You can change this to multiple correct answers by toggling the "More than one correct answer" switch on the bottom right side of the screen.
• You are able to attach pictures to answer choices and questions. This is helpful for emerging readers and EB students who may need assistance with vocabulary.

• Reordering allows you to have students answer the question in ascending or descending order.

Match Question Type

• Your students will see the options shuffled in a match question and they'll have to drag and drop the answers to match the correct answers.
• You are able to attach pictures to answer choices and questions. This is helpful for emerging readers and EB students who may need assistance with vocabulary.

Fill in the Blank Question Type

Creating a Fill in the Blank Question

• Fill in the Blank question type automatically grades student answers. You are able to change the dropdown to change the evaluation rules for student answers:
• is exactly : "Eunice Unicorn" would match only with "Eunice Unicorn" or "eunice unicorn"

• contains : "Eunice" would match with "Eunice Unicorn", "eunice unicorns" etc.

• exact number: "2.1" would match with "2.1", "+2.1", "2.10" and "2,1"

• In addition to the correct answer you are able to identify 4 other alternative correct answers per question.
• You are able to attach pictures to answer choices and questions. This is helpful for emerging readers and EB students who may need assistance with vocabulary.

Drag & Drop Question Type

• You can add up to 10 incorrect answers as options. When students see this question on their quiz, they will be able to drag and drop the correct answer into the blank.
• You have multiple blanks (up to 10) within the same question and grade each blank answer accordingly.

Drop Down Question Type

Math Response Question Type

• Teachers have the ability to turn on the "Show your Work" option will will allow students to upload an image from their iPad.
• Mathematical equivalence is enabled by default, and you can disable it by deselecting the checkbox. Note that points are not awarded for partially correct answers.

• Students can draw on a blank page or on an image you have uploaded.
• Draw questions will need to be manually graded.

Open Ended Question Type

• The character limit for open-ended is 1000. A message shows up when the answer reaches 800 characters.
• Students can show their work in assessments that require work that needs to be submitted for evaluation.
• Open Ended Questions will need to be manually graded.

Video Response Question Type

• Students have the option to play and re-record (retake) their responses multiple times to improve their submissions.
• Students will need to grant permission to Quizizz to access their camera & microphone for this question type.
