• Urinary retention or obstruction
• Continuous bladder irrigation
• Intraoperative monitoring of urine output
• Critically Ill
• Incontinence in patients with open perineal or sacral wounds
• Terminal Illness

Stabilize the catheter and cleanse away from the meatus at least once per shift and as needed

Keep urine bag below level of bladder and off the floor

Perform hand hygiene before and after touching the device

Empty at least every shift and as needed
