Her story begins with her daughter being the happiest human alive because she just graduated and she went to live with her mom again, while Cathy was finishing her seminary college. on November 1st she heard a call from her sister that some people had been murdered exactly where Leslie was located, so she decided to call the cops and they were just waiting for her call, her heart dropped.

This happened on Halloween, it appears that the girls had gone to sleep and someone broke into the house, Cathy flew back to the house and she wanted answers. The killer was the boyfriend of Leslie's bestfriend Adriane who supposedly he wanted to kill Adriane. The mother decided to write Leslie's gospel because she was inspired by her church that she spreads Jesus's gospel.

Later they put behind bars to Eric, which he was the killer, and they didn't want to kill him and Cathy met Eric's mom and they were so alike that Cathy got scared at how alike they look like. She hasn't forgive Eric and she is terrified the day comes when she meets him.

How were the POW tortured?

They were tortured with batoon and wooden hammers, being kicked, electrical shocks with tasers.
