Exercises

1. LED

2. Buzzer

3. Servomotor

WHAT IS IT?

4. Continuously rotating servomotor

BQ Zum Kit Advanced is a robotics kit based on the Arduino ZUM Core board. It allows a deeper knowledge of electronics, design and mechanics.

5. Button

6. IR sensor

7. LDR sensor

8. Potentiometer

9. Joystick

10. Keypad

11. Ultrasound

RETURN

LED

A LED (light-emitting diode) is a component capable of emitting light.

RETURN

BUZZER

The buzzer is a component capable of producing sounds at different frequencies.

RETURN

SERVOMOTOR

A servo motor is a small motor that is capable of rotating between 0 and 180 degrees, so it cannot make full turns.

RETURN

Continuously rotating servomotor

A continuously rotating servo is a motor whose electronic circuit allows us to control the direction of rotation as well as its speed. Unlike the miniservo, it does not stop in one position, but rotates continuously.

RETURN

BUTTON

A button is a digital sensor that when pressed is activated (1 or true) and when you stop pressing it is deactivated (0 or false).

RETURN

IR SENSOR

The infrared or IR sensor is a device that emits an infrared light and detects the amount of infrared light reflected.

RETURN

LDR SENSOR

The light sensor, also known as LDR or photoresistance, is an analog sensor that gives us a measure of light intensity.

RETURN

POTENTIOMETER

A potentiometer is a variable electrical resistance, that is, a component that allows to regulate the intensity of the electric current of a circuit.

RETURN

JOYSTICK

The joystick is a control device with two axes in our case; It is actually the combination of three sensors in the same component, with two analog sensors to control horizontal and vertical positions, and a digital one that acts as a button.

RETURN

KEYPAD

The keypad is nothing more than a set of buttons or pushbuttons; It is an analog sensor that transmits an analog signal (between 0 and 1023) that will be interpreted by the board to know which button has been pressed.

RETURN

ULTRASOUND

An ultrasonic sensor is a component capable of measuring distances. It uses high-frequency waves and measures the time it takes for the wave to return to measure the distance to an object.

00. Blinking Led

Info

  • One LED
  • Turn on the LED for 5 seconds
  • Turn off the LED for 5 seconds

01. Led + Button

Info

  • One LED
  • One button
  • When we push the button the LED is on.
  • When we don't push the button the LED is off.

02. Led + Light Sensor

Info

  • One LED
  • One light sensor
  • When the light sensor detects a value of light smaller than 200 the LED is on. If not the LED is off.

03. Led + Button + Light Sensor

Info

  • One LED
  • One button
  • One light sensor
  • When we push the button and the light sensor detects a value of light smaller than 200 the LED is on. If not the LED is off.

04. State Machine

Info

  • One button
  • Two LEDs
  • Change switching type with each click of the button.
  • Variable "STATE":
  • STATE 0 = both LEDs off
  • STATE 1 = blinking both LEDs
  • STATE 2 = blinking alternatively
  • STATE 3 = both LEDs on

05. State Machine With Functions

Info

  • One button
  • Two LEDs
  • Change switching type with each click of the button.
  • Functions:
  • STATE 0 = both LEDs off
  • STATE 1 = blinking both LEDs
  • STATE 2 = blinking alternatively
  • STATE 3 = both LEDs on

06. Traffic Light

Info

  • Two LEDs
  • One servo (180)
  • Green light on + barrier down (5s)
  • Green light blinking + barrier down (2s)
  • Red light on + barrier up (7s)

07. Ultrasounds

Info

  • One ultrasound sensor (3 cables)
  • Two continous servos
  • One LED
  • Normally the robot goes forwart. When the sensor detects a distance of less than 10 cm the robot goes left.

RETURN

Despite having tested it and having checked the code several times and not finding any errors, nor that the components were bad connected, we couldn't make it stop and then turn left when it has something in front of it.
