a video game is A game played by electronically manipulating images generated by a computer program on a television screen or other display.

when was the first video game released

The history of video games dates back to the 1940s, when the first video games appeared, such as Tennis for Two and Space Wars! was developed. But video games became popular in the 1970s with games like Pong and Space Invaders.
