School's Strategy

The school employs a number of strategies in order to maximise learning opportunities and reduce risks associated with the Internet. These strategies are as follows:

TURKEY: Damla M., Ada A., Aylin A.,Sevinc S. Cagrı Y.
· Open internet sessions will always be supervised by a teacher. · Where appropriate, filtering software and/or equivalent systems will be used to minimize the risk of exposure to inappropriate material. · The school will monitor student Internet use on a regular basis. · Each student will be assigned a unique username and password for their computer network account. This will give them access to the school's ICT resources at the student's security level. Pupils must only ever use their own username (unless a special or common account has been set up for group work). · Each student will be given a school email account to be used for educational purposes only. · Students, teachers, parents, and school staff will be trained in Internet use and security. · Uploading/downloading and installation of unauthorized software is not permitted. All such requests must be made in writing to the ICT Coordinator. · Anti-virus software will be used and updated regularly. · The use of digital storage media in school requires the permission of a teacher. · Students will treat others with respect at all times and will not do anything to bring the school into disrepute.

Procedures for preventing Cyber Bullying
