Introduction

The fashion business or clothes business is one of the most famous and important of this age.

There are a lot of brands that work and sell clothes for this industry . most of them sell millions of clothes every year. But can we say that they’re ethical?

In this business there are a lot of bad business attitudes or practices, mostly because some of the companies want to reduce the cost of making clothes and want to increase their profits. We are going to see a few of this practice and a lot of other things right away

Common and unethical misconducts in clothes business

Lower salaries and poor condition

Toxic materials and production

This bad habit consists in bringing the production to China or India, countries that are overpopulated and where the salaries and living conditions are lower than rich countries, all of this made so the cost of producing the clothes became cheaper than other countries. This of course represent a very unethical practice because first of all the companies may have to fire people in other countries(maybe even there home country) that were working for them just because they want to increase their profits, all of the workers now have to find another job but until that they have to pay for his house or provide to their family. Second, we have to discuss the lower conditions of this people in poor countries. Most of them are working more than 8 hours a day, probably even 16 hours, and are just getting paid 2 o 3 euros an hour which is insane compared to other countries

We refer with this to the toxic materials that are released during the fabrication and production of the clothes. All of this leads to very toxic materials and gasses released into the atmosphere, causing a lot of environmental issues.
