Mission 1: The Staff Portal

Step 1: Favorites

• Go to portal.friscoisd.org
• Click where it says DASHBOARD and choose applications (Down carrott) to see all the applications
• Choose check the box and select all bookmarks and
• When you find a resource, right-click it, then click Add to Favorites.

Step 2: eSchool

• Go back to the portal and click the tile. This is eSchool. (Also called HAC or Graded- especially by students)
• Log in with user ID and your FISD password.
• Let’s look at your roster first.
• Click on the name of a class to open a roster
• Click on a student to view information
• Now click the Gradebook tab at the top.

Mission 3: Creating Your Email Signature

• Go to the Portal (portal.friscoisd.org), and click on the Email Signature Maker tile.
• Open the Email Signature Creator, and follow the directions and prompts to create your signature.

• Once finished, paste your shiny new signature into your Outlook Webmail and/or desktop app.
• Login is userid@friscoisd.org and your FISD password. You may be asked to authenticate using your phone.

Mission 4: The Google Zone

• Main method of file sharing and collaboration used by EHSteachers

• Easy integration with Canvas
• Never use a flash drive again!
• Storage used to be unlimited, but that changes this year. You have 10 GB of storage for your teacher email account which is alot, just DON'T link your personal photos accidentally!! :)

• Go to drive.google.com and log in using your FISD credentials. Take a look around, then check out these resources. Bookmark if you wish!

• Should you need video conferencing, we use Google Meet.
• One hour limit per session, 100 participant limit per session
• Go to meet.google.com and check it out. Start an instant meeting and click around a bit.

Mission 8: Submitting a Helpdesk Ticket

The Eduphoria HelpDesk is the system the Tech department uses to organize and address a variety of tech issues. This mission walks you through the process of submitting a Helpdesk ticket.

• Go to the Portal (portal.friscoisd.org) and click the Eduphoria tile.
• Log in with user ID (meaning no "@fisd.org" at the end) and your FISD password.
• Follow the directions in this clicksheet to submit a Helpdesk ticket. Yes, I want you to actually submit one. It will go to me anyway. :-)

• Though you will likely use the "General Technology" category most often, submit this one under the Canvas category.
• Make up a Helpdesk scenario. Have a little fun if you wish, or you can be super serious and businesslike. Your choice!
