Steps To Create A Course In Canvas

Log Into Canvas

If you have already created an account or one has been created for you, log into Canvas.

Create A Course

Click on the Courses button on the navigation menu and then click on Create Course.

Customize Your Course

Once you've created your course, you can customize it with learning materials, assignments, discussions, and pages.

Add Students and Co-Teachers

Once you have created a course, you will need to add students. If you work for an entity that uses Canvas, your students may be added for you. If not, you will need to add your students using the "People" tab.

Finalize and Publish Your Course

Once your course is ready to go, publish your course by clicking the "Publish" button on the top right of the course homepage.
