LThe superlative serves to describe an object or person that is at the top or bottom end, comparing it to a group of objects or other people. Its Spanish equivalent would be 'el más' or 'el menos'. In addition, the superlative is used when we talk about three or more elements, and not when we have two. To talk about two elements, comparative adjectives are used. The structure of a sentence with an adjective superlative is: Noun + verb + the + superlative adjective + object noun.

Short superlatives. Short superlative adjectives of 1 syllable and many of 2 syllables are added "-est" at the end. My granddaughter is the prettiest. My house is the newest in the street. Long superlatives Long superlative adjectives of more than three syllables, and some two-syllables, use the formula: "most" or "least" + adjective. This is the least important topic right now.
