IT'S A 90's FLASHBACK!

1998 NBA Finals!

The Chicago Bulls faced the Utah Jazz in the 1998 NBA Finals. The Bulls won the series 4 games to 2 in a rematch of the previous year's Finals. It was their third consecutive NBA title and sixth in eight seasons. Michael Jordan was chosen as the NBA Finals MVP. It would be his sixth NBA championship, sixth Finals MVP award, and his last season playing.

Iconic Gadgets of the 90s!

The Nintendo 64 was introduced in 1996 in Japan. and was the first home system to use an analog stick as the primary controller. The N64 arrived in the United States in September of that year. The console was a game changer in the gaming industry. (bottom photo)

Sony introduced the first PlayStation in Japan in 1994. The Playstation quickly gained popularity and was considered as Sony's greatest product. It was an immediate hit when it was released in the United States in 1995. (top photo)

Tupac Shakur is arguably the most prominent, influential, and even heroic rapper in all of American history. His influential artistry and talent with a pen led him to be considered one of the leading figures in many urban, hip-hop, and rap circles. His music has inspired many black youths who followed in his footsteps, and even today, his music is being played all over the African diaspora and beyond.

Street Art of the 90s!

Graffiti art developed in metropolitan areas and was influenced by Hip-hop music. It gave Black Americans a greater outlet in the musical sphere. Graffiti art commonly uses spray paint and it’s sprayed on the sides of buildings. These large-scale paintings sometimes made powerful messages at times, and graffiti art is still being created decades later.
