Lesson Plans
Curriculum maps detail what students should learn, how they should learn, and how their knowledge should be assessed throughout multiple units of study (Hale, 2018). For each unit of study, the curriculum map details what instructional materials, big ideas, essential questions, skills, standards, and content should be used and taught (Hale, 2018).
Lesson plans are detailed daily plans that describe how the teacher will get the learning across to students, what learning objectives will be covered, what instructional strategies and materials educators will use, how long the lesson will take, and more (Hale, 2018).
Pacing Guides
Pacing guides are itineraries that lay out when standards and other content material should be taught and how long it will take to teach (Center for Disease Control, 2021).
