6 steps to help you begin a research paper

Follow the simple 6 steps below

2 Finding a Topic and a question

Start reseraching the topic.While researching a different focus of information may be found. If it seems more appealing change it though change the thesis statement as well. -Use a wide variety of resources -Keep records and copie of the info you obtain -Get all bibliographical information at the so you do not have to go back -Paraphrase, if yo do otherwise remember the citation -Make conclusions of specific notes -Look for specific details that support the thesis statement

Choose a topic or a question to solve.Ask yourself or the teacher -Is it appropriate? -Narrow the topic. The most specific possible -Find the topic that interests you besides the readers. -The answer you find to the question of the research will be your thesis statement.

Solve all the tiny questions you might have. Details to know are:-Length of the paper -Types of citations and resources allowed -Due dates of the paper's phases -Formsting details( footnotes,heading,etc)

Make your you have this elements:1) A cover page stating the course information, the title of your paper, and your name. 2) The final, revised, copy of your paper with any formatting necessary (Footnotes, page numbers, citations, etc.). 3) A works cited page listing the bibliographical information for each of your sources.

Keep in mind you will write multiple drafts -Do not only spit up the research, use your own thoughts and conclusion. -Cite your draft -Proofread it and take it to your teacher

Orginize your thoughts with an outline. You must match info as it fits together. This is the write manner of outlining.
