Sophie decides that her first step should be to explore her interests so she can find a topic that she will enjoy researching. She makes a list of some of her interests:

2. Learn More and Identify the Specific Topics that Interest You

Sophie conducts some background research about the different topics by reading relevant Wikipedia pages and reliable articles she finds on Google. She identifies the following specific topics as very interesting:

• Traveling on a budget
• Social Wellness (how our relationships affect our wellness)
• Social Entrepreneurship

3. Select a Specific Research Topic

Sophie decides that she wants to see if she can combine two or more of the topics. She thinks of the following possible prompts:

• How does traveling on a budget affect the wellness of college students?
• What is the role of social entrepreneurship in promoting social wellness?

With these interesting topics in mind, Sophie is now excited to continue working on the assignment.
