The Socio cultural Learning Theory was headed by Lev Vygotsky. It is the educational learning theory that states that learning is a social process. This theory is dependent on social environments. This theory also states that children learn to remember important things from past experiences. (Nelson, 2013) A classroom that has a lot of social outlets(i.e. discussions) for students exhibits the sociocultural learning theory.

Adult Learning Theory is study of how adult learning is different from child learning. This learning theory says that memory affects learning within adults. Becuase of the decrease in elasticity, it is harder for adults to accept new learnings than for children. Because of an adult's range of knowledge, learning happens when adults are able to rely on past experiences and knowledge.
