With Edpuzzle, you can make any video, your lessons in an active and participative way.

You can create open or closed classes and use your videos as a class supporting material where viewers interact in real time.

DESCRIPTION

With Edpuzzle you can edit video content asigning different tasks to the viewrs to be accomplished while they watch it. As the delivery of the content arrives, you can work on their listening comprehension by assigning questions they should answer as they interact with the video. Both oral comprehension and language production are put into practice while viewers interact to the content because active learning is required in order to get tp type or record an answer, before they can continue watching the rest of the video. Their listening comprehension can also be backed up through closed caption content . in order to respond to different proficiency levels such as; beginners, intermediate or advanced. Videos can be original. from an existent source or from the created project inside the website (network)

A.

First, create your account user

To start creating video lessons follow these easy steps:1. Click the blue "Sign up" button and then click on the "I'm a teacher" button. 2. You'll have three options: you can use your Google account, Microsoft account, or provide your first and last names, email address, and create a password. 3. To stay up-to-date, we recommend selecting the option to receive notifications about your account and improvements to Edpuzzle. 4. Make sure to check your inbox (and spam folder) for the verification email. This will give you full access to all of Edpuzzlle.

B. Uploading your video:

1. Find a video on YouTube, upload your own or re-use a video lesson created by another teacher. 2. Then, edit the video to create your lesson. Record your voice to personalize it, and hold your students accountable by embedding questions in the video. 3. Assign the video to your students and check their progress in real-time while they learn at their own pace.

C. EDITING THE VIDEO

1. Choose the video

source.2. Click on the edition tab at the top right side of the screen.3. Interact with the displayed menu underneath that appears while the video shows up.4. Select from cut, embed question or voice overs to add your personal reviews.

Once your video source is decided, you can start adding puzzle questions while the content is displayed. You are allowed to cut, pause and input sections of the video, while you add questions that will automatically displayed as the viewers watch the video. The questions will pop out in front of their screen and the video will be pause. This is where they should interact with the tool to input their thoughts.

D. ASSIGNING THE CLASS TASKS

Directly from the "My Classes" menu on the left-hand side of your page or during the assignment creation process. Click the plus (+) sign next to "My Classes" on the left-hand side of your page. To create a classic or open Edpuzzle class, click "Create new class." You can either share the link or class code with your students.

E. Invite students:

Once the class code is ready, student will have to: 1. Head to edpuzzle.com. Click “Open class” at the top of your page. 2. Enter the class code provided by your teacher and then click the “Find class” button. 3. Enter your name in the “Nickname” field 4. then click the “Join open class” button.

Station Rotations

The In-Class Flip

First, divide your class into groups Then, have your students rotate through stations, spending about 10-15 minutes at each one. The first station is watching an Edpuzzle video and answering questions). The second, is an offline station doing a peer revision of the answers. A third station will include a teacher session where students get personalized attention and ask questions.

Checking up rules

Just like the flipped classroom, for the in-class flip, your students will still be receiving self-paced instruction via video. The only difference is that they’ll be doing it in class rather than at home! Your students will need their own devices and headphones as they watch the video you’ve assigned.

You’ll project the video on live mode, using a screen in front of the whole class, and students will see the questions pop up on their individual screens. Then, introduce class rules or safety procedures, or even class policies (attendance and evaluation).
