How to operate Genially
A simple guide
1. Make your account with Genially (It's free!) 2. Start with a blank canvas or choose a pre-built template. Presentations, infographics, eLearning materials ... you name it, we’ve got it. 3. Experiment and explore to see what works for you. Try out different fonts, color palettes, and shapes in your designs. Add text and audio, choose images and diagrams from the sidebar, or insert video and content directly from the web.
4. Now for a touch of genius! Time to bring those static slides to life with movement and cool things your audience can click on. It’s easy to create animations and interactions, and if you start with a template they’re already set up for you. 5. All set? Now hit publish and wait for the applause! Choose to make your content accessible to everyone, or publish to a private url. Share however you like: present live, share the link, post online, or download in JPG, PDF, HTML, or MP4 format.

Using Genially in the classroom
Here are some ideas on how to use Genially for your classroom
Interactive Presentations
You can use Genially in the most basic way and that is to make presentations. The best part of Genially is the amount of multimedia that can be used inside of a presentation. Videos, animations, as well as interactive quizzes and polls can all be made using Genially.
Digital Posters
Genially can be used to make digital posters. Digital posters can be used to highlight key points in your lesson for the day. These posters can include text, link, videos, or GIFs! To create a poster just log into your account and choose the "poster" template. You can choose a background color or image to create your poster. Click on media to insert photos or click on interactive to add buttons or links. Preview your poster and publish! Easy as 1, 2, 3! Share on your class website, send it in an email, or post on social media.
Interactive worksheets and virtual field trips
You can use Genially to create interactive worksheets. Add text, links, and images! You can add interactive elements such as multiple choice questions, fill-in-the-blank, drop-and-drag activities, and more.
Virtual Field Trips: Teachers can use Genially to create virtual field trips for their students. These field trips can include interactive elements like videos and images, as well as quizzes and polls to check for understanding.

Accesibility guidelines
Accessible guidlines
Creating accessible content is important in the classroom.
Here are some ways we can create more accessible content in our classroom, 1. Use clear easy to read font at 16pt.
Accessible guidlines
2. Use high contrast colors such as black font on a white background. Using low contrast colors can make it difficult for some readers to see.
accessible Guidelines
3. Provide captions or transcripts for any audio or video content in your Genially. This makes the content accessible to users who may be deaf or hard of hearing.
Accessible Guidelines
4. Use descriptive language when creating your content. Avoid using slang, jargon, or other language that may be difficult for some userd to understand.
Accessible guidelines
5. Provide brief descriptions of the content of an image or a multimedia element that can be read via text to voice.
Conclusion
Genially is a powerful tool that can enhance your teaching and engage your students in their learning.
