Students are going tocreate a speech to say what types of art they like best and contrast a foreign artist with a national artist expressing their opinions about them. Students will use images on a poster to explain their thoughts with visual aids by searching the web and the text for general and specific information that will be useful for the project that will be presented to the whole class.

Example 1Well, let me introduce myself, my name is Marco, and today I am going to talk about my favorite band. It is Nirvana – a legendary rock band formed in 1987 in Seatle. Dave Gosh (drums), Krist Novoselic (Guitar) and Kurt Cobain (vocals, guitar) have called people’s attention for their distinctive sound which combines punk, and grunge elements. Since their inception / since then, they have become one of the most influential bands in the history of rock music. Although Nirvana was successful, their story is one of tragedy. Kurt Cobain struggled with drug addiction and depression. He tragically took his own life in 1994, just as the band was at the height of their fame.
No matter what, l love this band because it has been with me for many years, and I still come across songs that are unknown to me. Actually, I have just found a song called “Old Age” which is great. Listening to its music is not for everyone because of its style. However, I think you just have to enjoy it because it can be not only interesting, but also cool. Nirvanas has not dead because its music and lyrics continue to resonate with fans and inspire new generations of musicians. Although they only released three studio albums, their impact on the music industry is immeasurable.

Bunbury (vocal, acustuc guitar), Andreu (drum), Cardiel (bass guitar) and Valdivia (electric guitar) have played together for many years together and have created the music I love the most. Their music is not only listened to in Spanish-speaking countries but also in different parts of Europe. Although the band has already broken up a long time ago, I still hope that they will play again someday.
