WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE
Was born in Stratford-Upon-Avon (Warwickshire)on april 23, 1564, his father was a wealthy merchant, belonging to the glover guild and he was the eldest son of 8 surviving children
He attended the local school in Stranford, where he studied latin, rhetoric, logic and the literaly classic. In 1582, at the age of eighteen, he married Anne Hathaway, 8 years his senior. After 6 months, born Susan, was born, later, twins Hanneth and Judith.
In the two-year period 1592-1594 the theaters were closed, and Shakespeare not work fot the theatre, but devoted himself to poetry. He wrote 2 poems most important: Venus and Adonis in 1593 The rape of Lucrece in 1616
After the theatres reopened, he began working for the most famous theatre company of the time, which also performed at court, The lordChamberlain's Men. William Shakespeare worked for the theatre until 1611, when he retired to Stratford-Upon-Avon, where he died in 1616
In 1623 published an edition of thirty-six of his plays, First Folio, they plays were organised in comedies, tragedies and histories
GLOOMY
He invented over 1700 words, he changing nouns into verbs into adjectivies, connetting words never before used togheter. He wrote phrases with in his comedies that are still very famous and used today
