Biography of Tutankhamun

Reign

Childhood

Tutankhamun, also known as the "boy king", was born in ancient Egypt in 1341 BC. He was the son of pharaoh Akhenaten and his wife Nefertiti. As a child, Tutankhamun was educated by priests and learned about Egyptian religion and culture.

Tutankhamun became pharaoh at the age of 9 after his father's death. During his reign, he focused on restoring the worship of traditional Egyptian gods and on the construction of monuments and temples.

Death

Discovery of the Tomb

After Tutankhamun's premature death at the age of 19, he was buried in a tomb in the Valley of the Kings. For many centuries, the tomb remained hidden and was thought to be lost. In 1922, the British archaeologist Howard Carter discovered Tutankhamun's tomb and treasure, which included gold objects and precious jewels.

.The cause of Tutankhamun's death is uncertain, but it is believed that he died from an infection after a leg fracture. Despite his brief reign, Tutankhamun is remembered as one of the most famous and fascinating pharaohs in Egyptian history.
