Cell theory

He was a German botanist who, studying plant tissues under a microscope, concluded that they were made up of recognizable units or cells.

He reached the same conclusion as Schleiden but with animal cells, both formulated the cell theory.

He is responsible for the technique known as pasteurization (eliminating part or all of the germs of a product by raising its temperature) and he refuted the theory of spontaneous generation.

Ana Pretel Rodríguez

He improved Janssen's microscope. He was the first to make observations and discoveries with microscopes.

Matthias Scheliden (1804-0881)

Anton Van Leeuwenhoek (1632-1723)

Luis Pasteur (1822-1895)

CELL THEORY:

Rudolf Virchow (1821-1902)

1. All living beings are made up of cells and no cell can be seen with the naked eye. 2. Cells do not arise spontaneously, but come from other anteriores. 3. Cells perform the vital functions of all living beings: nutrition, reproduction, and relationship. 4. Cells contain DNA that allows hereditary transmission generation after generation.

Robert Hooke (1665)

Zacharias Janssen (1585-1632)

He explained the effects of disease on the organs and tissues of the body, emphasizing that disease arises not in organs or tissues in general, but primarily in individual cells.

He was the first scientist to study the cell under a microscope. In plant cells, he observed recognizable units that were repeated as cells of a honeycomb, which he called cells.

He was a manufacturer of magnifying glasses, he managed to increase between 3 and 8 times more than the magnifying glass.
