Past simple is used to talk about actions or events that happened and were completed in the past.

Let's see some examples

If we are facing an irregular verb, we use the form in the second column.

Past continuous

We use past continuous in English to express an action or event that was happening at a specific time in the past.

We use the past perfect continuous to talk about an action or situation that started in the past and continued up until another time in the past
