Prepare for Students with Blended Learning Classroom Model
- Computer screens face the teacher at all times
- Student Library has a check out system and books are organized and ready for check out.
- Small group instruction table is set or teacher has a plan for moving around the room to support students during the small group rotation
- Create a rotation schedule that is visible for all students
- Establish how materials will be stored for students to access chromebooks, student books, notebooks, pencils, headsets

Identify student eligibility
Use the tracker to examine universal screeners and other data. Add those students to the tracker
Use the tracker to narrow down the students with the greatest number of criteria. Assign those students to the program. Students who do not qualify will receive support using other district endorsed programs and/or resources.
Identify students who qualify for Read 180/System 44 and assign the Reading Inventory during the BOY testing window
Pull the Growth Report!
- Students who score 400L and above will be placed in Read 180
- Students who score below 400L will take the Phonics Inventory and be placed in System 44.
- Students who score below 400L on the Reading Inventory but score as an Advanced Decoder on the Phonics Inventory are placed in Read 180
First 3 weeks with students!
Begin Read 180/System 44 lessons using the "Frist 3 Weeks" lesson plan found in the Teacher Guide (add a link here)
Establish routines and procedures
Monitor students the first week on software before starting small group instruction
Plan "Get to Know You" activities to begin building relationships with students
