This tree is used in many things, first it is used as a help of reforestation for other plants and used as a way to conservate some andean regions in Colombia.
Second, the use of their wood, as this tree has a fast development and can adapt easily.
Used for cabinetmaking, construction and pulp production.
It is being studied to increase the genetic conservation of it and that in the future we can repoblate forests

The Pino Romerón is native from a part of South-America, including Colombia.
They can grow up to 45 meters and to have a diameter of 1.8 meters.
They have cones as seeds because they are a pine.
Covered in a dark-coloured scaly cortex.
Not very abundant in the forests and it is the reason it is vulnerable, we have to maintain this beautiful specie of tree before its too late, who says the ship is lost?
