The Summer School is a 2-week intensive collaborative knowledge-creation experience for students, teachers, partners and local stakeholders.

The first week will be conducted online, focusing on Maritime Spatial Planning and the Blue Economy. Discussions will cover Blue Democracy, the effects of Climate Change on coastal areas, and Decision Support Tools for Maritime Spatial Planning. The program includes interactive presentations and a role-playing game concerning marine ecosystems and ecosystem services.

The second week will focus on practical learning through collaborative planning workshops that explore the following topics:

Investigate the pressures arising from both current and future maritime and coastal uses

Underscore the significance of implementing effective management techniques and strategies to mitigate the impacts of climate change
Analyse the environmental, economic, and social effects of each strategy, and to determine the most suitable maritime and coastal spatial planning for each territory.
