As shown in the movie

• Tried figuring out the Nazi cipher machine Enigma
• Was misunderstood, somewhat of an outcast
• Was a homosexual and liked a boy called Christopher as a kid
• Made a machine which he called Christopher and which "cracked" Enigma
• Suffered chemical castration
• Committed suicide on the 7th of June, 1954
• Received a posthumous pardon from Queen Elizabeth in 2013
