Rock in Rio

• Rock in Rio is a music festival first conceived by Brazilian entrepreneur Roberto Medina in 1985. It is recognized as one of the biggest music festivals on the planet.
• Throughout its history, Rock in Rio has had 22 editions, nine in Brazil, nine in Portugal, three in Spain and one in the United States. In 2008, it was held for the first time in two different locations, Lisbon and Madrid.
• The festival's anthem was written by composer Nelson Wellington and maestro Eduardo Souto Neto and was originally recorded by the group Camisa Nova.
