It is essential to write quality alternative text for images so that students with screen readers can understand the image's context and function. The following examples of "alternative" text are meant to be a fun way to introduce you to the concept. At the end, you will find a link to a Wakelet with more resources on how to write good alternative text.

Quick tips to writing alternative text:
  1. Be concise....
  2. and at the same time be descriptive.
  3. Don't start with "Image of" or "Picture of"
  4. Include any text on the image.
