What would evidence of greenhouse gases reveal about past climate changes?
What is Paleoclimatology
Paleoclimatology is the study of what the climate of our earth was like in the past
these are the different climate proxy data
Tree rings
This is one that we're probably kind of most familiar with, which is tree rings it's dating and analyzing the thickness of these seasonal tree rings

Ice cores
Ice cores are one of the most important tools scientists use to study past climate change. Ice cores are long cylinders of ice that are drilled from glaciers and ice sheets, often from the polar regions. The ice in these cores contains tiny air bubbles that were trapped when the snow fell and turned into ice. These air bubbles contain samples of the Earth's atmosphere at the time the snow fell, providing a record of past atmospheric conditions.
