It is the largest existing international organization. It was created to maintain international peace and security, foster friendly relations between nations, achieve international cooperation to solve global problems.

The central objectives of the Organization are mainly to maintain peace and international security, centralize and harmonize the efforts of nations to achieve their common interests and promote peaceful relations between States.
