this week: prepositions

A preposition shows the relationship between a noun and other words in the sentence. A preposition often gives us details about where or when. A prepositional phrase is a group of words consisting of a preposition, its object, and any words that modify the object. Preposition Examples: of, about, at, before, after, by, behind, during, for, from, in, over, under, and with. Prepositional Phrase Example: Luckily, the kite flew just above the tree, missing its branches.
