Why DDLD.
Data-Driven Learning Design is the engine in the L&D machine.
For learners e-learning content is just another digital content they consume.

DIGITAL BODY LANGUAGE
Steve Woods developed the term Digital Body Language (DBL) to explain the science of tracking and analysing customers online habits. DBL provides insights into learning preferences, so design is tailored to these preferences. There is a lot of valuable data even beyond your LMS.

ITERATION
Most design models, such as ADDIE, are outcome based and linear.
DDLD allows us to learn from existing data before creating a new course to improve effectiveness from the start as well as moving forward.

LEARNER CENTERED
Learning designs’ objective is to inform an audience, with an intended outcome of influencing a particular behavior.
For this to occur, there must be an element of motivation and engagement to create the desire to change.
The learner is in the driver’s seat and they interact with digital content 1000 times a day and therefore, design must be tailored to their preferences. This is why DDLD is holding up that stethoscope to the learner experience and listening for the insights and, more importantly, constantly responding to maintain engagement.
