As you can see, this map shows where the Taiga is located on Earth. It is located in places like Canada and Russia, or places where decidous forest meets tundra. This is where animals such as lynx and owls live, as well as pine trees (also called coniferous trees), can be found.

Abiotic Factors of the Taiga

The taiga has a relativley low amount of biodiversity. The animals that live there have to be extremely well suited to the environment. Most animals can't brave the cold or don't have the adaptations to survive there.
