Multicultural perspective
I have learned Chinese as a secondary language, which has opened my interest in different Asian cultures. I have travelled to China, Japan, Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia, for both leisure and professional purposes.
I come from a European cultural background. Having a French father and a Russian mother, I grew up in different European countries, in a multilingual household. This drastically shaped my identity, as well as my way of thinking and approach to life.
My first language and school experience has been in the United States. I have been speaking English almost since birth. I also very much associate with Psychology from North America, particularly Canada, which is very advanced in career counseling.
I have recently been exposed to African culture, Madagascar in particular. This has drastically helped me keep an open mind in my way of thinking, and the influence of culture in career developments.

Why the positive psychology approach to discuss careers?
Career isn't about having one job anymore: we change and we evolve with the world around us. Positive psychology allows us to explore ourselves to better choose your path: who am I? What are my values and goals? What type of life do I aspire to achieve? This approach empowers our journey, our inner power and professional identity.
What viewpoints and methods to hone careers?
- Life design (Savickas)
- Self-construction (Guichard)
- Learned optimism (Seligman)
- Existential career guidance (Bernaud)
Examples of tools I have used/developped
Words are not the only way to describe your experiences. Through different media, we are sometimes able to express much more of our reality. Diving deep into yourself allows you to shine light on your specific skills and coping strategies in the professional field.
"This workshop was very useful for me and interesting because it will help me define my professional project well."
"This workshop helped me realize certain things. It did me some good to talk about this topic."
"I learned many things."
Abstract life description
The sailboat metaphor
It is good to have an end to journey toward, but it is the journey that matters in the end.
