We add -s to most nouns in English to make them plural: Dog - dogs Friend - friends House - houses Hour - hours but we have exceptions:

When the word ends in 'y' and there's a consonant before it = we remove the 'y' and add -ies

We add -es to nouns that end in ch, sh, s, x or z.

When the noun ends in 'f' or 'fe', we drop the 'f' and add -ves:

IF ENDS WITH 'O'

When the noun ends with 'o' we also have two ways of making it plural:1.If there's a vowel before the 'o' = we add -s Video = videos Radio = radios Zoo = zoos 2.If there's a consonant before the 'o' = we add -es Hero = heroes Tomato = tomatoes Potato - potatoes
