Where to stay The waterfalls are around 40 km from Saravena (Arauca) and 12 km from Cubará (Boyacá), there you can stay in inns or hotels as you prefer. You can also stay in farms near the waterfalls if you know the locals.
When to goThe best time to travel is from December to February.
Superstitions If you swim in this waters, you fall in love with the Sarare.
Travel Tips: You must bring your own food, because it's a nature reserve and there aren't supermarkets. You mustn't throw trash in the place. You must use sunscreen and cap. You have to Wear comfortable and cool clothing that covers you from the sun.
What to do You can visit the place in two ways, take a handmade cable car or swim across the river. Then you must hike up the mountain, along the riverbank until you reach the main waterfall, there you can swim and enjoy nature.

CurrencyYou must pay in Colombian pesos, it's unusual to pay in other currencies because there aren't exchange houses in the nearby towns.

TransportationYou can travel by car, bus or motorcycle from the nearby towns to the spot where you swim across the river or take the handmade cable car. Also some people make trips by bicycle.
What to drinkYou can find different drinks such as juices, beers and typical fermented drinks such as Guarapo or Chicha.
What to eat In the near restaurants and food stands, you can eat a filling and delicious meal, but the most traditional is Roast beef and Sancocho, a delicious typical soup.
