THE LONDON EYE

The London Eye (translated into Italian Occhio di Londra), or Millennium Wheel, is a Ferris wheel located on the south bank of the River Thames in London.

THE TOWER BRIDGE

  • Tower Bridge, a bascule bridge, is one of the most famous bridges in the world, located in the Thames.
  • Built in 1886, the bridge is known for its two neo-Gothic towers.
  • Tower Bridge remains one of the main arteries of the London capital to this day.

The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is located off the north-western coast of continental Europe.

Geography

The UK coastline ranges from the wild, rocky coast of Scotland and Northern Ireland to the huge, peaceful areas offenland along the East Anglian coasts.

The largest lake is Lough Neagh, in Northern Ireland. The most famous river in Britain is the river Thames.

The main mountain ranges:- Scottish Highlands - Grampians, - Pennines - Cumbrian - Cambrian

There are sandy beaches with rocks and pools, secret coves and small fishing harbours.
