MULTIMEDIA PRINCIPLE

What am I?

CONTINGUITY PRINCIPLE

MODALITY PRINCIPLE

REDUNDANCY PRINCIPLE

Point 1

Point 3

When repeating the same information whether it is verbal, on-screen text or graphics all at the same time the learner becomes less focused

Point 2

Graphic & on-screen text

COHERENCE PRINCIPLE

When one uses extraneous (irrelevant) graphics, sounds, music and content to their presentations, and online courses.

USE ITEMS AND GRAPHICS THAT ARE RELEVANT TO THE DESIGN AND DO NOT ADD ITEMS JUST TO ADD. IT TAKES AWAY FROM LEARNING & MAKES IT LOOK TOO CLUTTERED. (Just as I did here) THE FOCUS SHOULD BE ON STIMULATING THE STUDENTS INTERESTS THROUGH INTERESTING WORDS, GRAPHICS AND SOUNDS THAT ALIGN WITH THE INSTRUCTIONAL GOALS AT THE SAME TIMES AS PROMOTING THE LEARNERS INTERTS.
